2 – 4 cups cereal, (puffed rice, Chex®, gluten free Cornflakes® or any other cereal you like)
½ – 1 cup nuts or seeds
⅛ – ¼ cup honey
1 Tbsp. butter/margarine
vanilla, cinnamon and salt to taste
In a saucepan melt butter and honey. Add seasonings, bring to a boil and pour over cereal and nuts or seeds. (For a more savory version, decrease the honey to 1 Tbsp. and use cayenne, garlic powder, salt and pepper to season snack mix.) Toss to coat. Bake on a cookie sheet at 300º F. for 20 – 30 minutes. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
