8 oz of cream cheese or tofutti (soy cream cheese)
½ cup of butter or dairy free, non-hydrogenated margarine (Earth Balance)
2 cups icing sugar (or less)
2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp. maple syrup
½ tsp. cinnamon
Whip cream cheese, maple syrup and butter until fluffy. Add sugar gradually, if the icing gets to the texture you want but you haven’t added the full amount of sugar then stop adding sugar before reaching the full 2 cups. Blend well. Add vanilla and whip for 20 seconds more.
